🏜️ Standard Arizona License Plate
Arizona’s standard license plate features the classic desert sunset and saguaro landscape. It is issued by default with a randomly assigned combination of letters and numbers.
The Details
Cost: Included with your standard registration fees.
Format: Modern plates use a 6-character random sequence (e.g., 12A 3B4).
ÂPersonalization: Want to pick your own lettering? You can personalize the standard desert plate with up to 7 characters for an additional $25 annual fee.
♿ Disability Symbol Options
If you meet the medical criteria for permanent physical disability, you can request the International Symbol of Access (the wheelchair symbol) to be printed directly on your standard plate.
Eligibility: You must provide a Medical Certification completed by an authorized physician, nurse practitioner, or hospital administrator.
ÂPrimary Benefit: Having the symbol on your plate grants the same parking privileges as a placard, without having to hang anything from your rearview mirror.
Organization: The vehicle must be registered or leased in the name of the person with the disability (or their legal guardian).
