Reinstatement requirements are specific to the driver’s record. The fastest way to avoid paying for something you do not need
is to identify every open action first, then complete the requirements in the order MVD requires.
Common requirements may include
- Court clearance or a court abstract for applicable court-related actions.
- Future Financial Responsibility / SR-22 filed with MVD when required.
- Alcohol or drug screening, education or treatment when required.
- Ignition-interlock compliance for applicable DUI-related actions.
- A Permission to Reapply process after certain revocations.
- Payment of applicable reinstatement and credential fees.
Restricted driving privileges are case-specific. Some insurance-related restricted permits can be handled through an Authorized Third Party provider. Certain DUI restricted permits must be issued by MVD. Eligibility depends on the actions currently showing on your record.
DUI screening, treatment & education
If your reinstatement requires state-approved screening, treatment or education, EZ Title customers can use our partner,
Opus Recovery Center, for qualifying services.
Before installing an ignition interlock or purchasing an SR-22 solely for reinstatement, confirm the exact requirements on your MVD record. Another unresolved action can prevent reinstatement even after one requirement is completed.
